Point of View:
“I would definitely recommend other Americans to study at Reims”
TESTIMONIAL: The attractions of studying an MBA in Europe seemed so obvious to Matthew McConnell that he is perplexed by the scarcity of students from his own country. “I am shocked that there are not more Americans studying in Europe,” says the participant on the IMBA programme at Reims Management School.
“I would definitely recommend other Americans to study at Reims,” says Matthew. “European MBA programmes are very practical. They are very well-ranked, enjoy extensive corporate connections, and are financially competitive. In many schools there is also financing available for international students.”
Career Support Services expand help
for IMBA job-seekers in a tight job market
Reims Management School is taking fresh steps to ensure its MBA graduates secure the jobs they merit in a tighter jobs market.
This year’s IMBA participants will be required to attend compulsory ‘jury’ sessions to review their job search progress. The reviews are part of a sophisticated package of measures, forming an integral part of the MBA experience, which are designed to ensure graduates can make their MBA a truly life-changing experience.
Today, we all need to know how to do well in difficult times. So the topic of Reims MBA VIP Club’s 6th Annual Conference “From Gloom to Bloom: Thriving in a Crisis”, was sure to generate widespread interest.
Alumni, guests and students spent nearly three hours exploring three big ideas presented by Belina Raffy, Director of consultancy Maffick in the UK, and her colleague Lizzie Palmer.
The main purpose of the Student Council (also known by its French acronym BDE) is to support students in finding work – a role in which it supplements the work of Career Services and can help fund students travelling to interviews.
But the sense of solidarity among the IMBA students at Reims is so strong that the BDE has acquired a special role enabling participants to share skills or act collectively.
If you are going to study for an MBA at RMS, we want to be sure – as you do – that you will graduate with flying colours. That is why, like some 1,500 universities and institutions around the globe, we highly recommend you take the GMAT exam supervised by the Graduate Management Admissions Council.
The GMAT is claimed to be the most effective predictor of success for leading business school and management education programmes. It can be a tough challenge, and high-performing candidates typically spend more than 100 hours preparing for it. But it provides a valuable benchmark of ability for us as we seek to ensure a diverse and international group of participants on our MBA programmes, and we take the results very seriously.
