Communication in Crisis Situations - step 2
Swim with The Press : How managers can survive, work with, and eventually even be friend with journalists.

OBJECTIVE:
Preparing representatives of business to work more effectively with the media in crisis situations.
- How to talk to the press: what to say, and what not to say;
- How to handle crisis situations;
- How to accentuate the positive when there is bad news.

TEACHING METHOD:
The course calls on participants personal experience, and provides them with practical dos and don'ts. Breakout group work includes simulation exercises where you, the board of directors, receive a crisis scenario. You must plan strategy for a press conference, then meet the press and field questions from hostile reporters in crisis situations. These are videotaped.

note: for the ones who participated in this workshop last year: the cases will be new ones and it can be the opportunity to go further.
